1. heading to FLUKE at Athens, GA this saturday 4/21/12. will have books and small prints.

2. Have a new site called hartchamber. it is my portfolio site for my artwork.

3. next scheduled con is Seishuncon in june

4. have requested table for AWA 2012

5. I am confirmed for MOMOCON in 2013

I had an emergency that developed in early april which looks to be resolved hopefully. Which means that i can get back to my schedule of drawing comics in may. Still a few loose ends that need to be cleaned up after i go to fluke. The good news is the end result may actually help me focus more on my creative endeavors.

But I am working away- have the last four pages for Genzo meets jo thumbnailed. I’ve got the next chapter planned out. Lots of excitement in that one. I just wish it werent so hot. saps your energy- that heat does. but it’s nice to have a head full of stuff than an empty one

Insomnia 6/27/2011- Red Wing

Last night I had a bout of insomnia. But it was one of the good ones where I dream I am writing and drawing a story. This was a batman elseworld story. or at least a bat styled person was in it. I got up a did a quick character sketch- not of the bat critter but of someone else- bat critter was hiding in the shadows so I couldnt get a good pic of him -:D

Then went back to sleep or at least I tried and my mind kept humming while I was in this half sleep state. Yes, it’ll have to be in color – pencils and pastel – 8 by 10. 24 to 32 page story arcs. oh yes – dont forget zombie dragon bone airships with pirates in them- oh but that’s later in the story- need to draw more character designs- so expect lots of character background sketch sheets while i work on thumbnails.

Meanwhile this first character is the dojo master of a little town at the edge of the borders of this country. Her name is Pegleg Jane and yes with a name like that – yes- she was a pirate.

Well, the design for desolation angel tango is pretty much done. It’s open and I’ve started updating weekly there. in fact- starting yesterday. I have to finish timeline, glossary, and clean up thumbnails, figure out why rss footer is being wonky. but it’s up and running. Now working on The House of Other Worlds design. Fighting a summer cold- I’d recover quicker if I could take time off but people call in sick before I can and as I’m the safety net, I rarely ever get to call in sick.

The new Desolation Angel Tango site will be ready at the end of this month= hurray! and I’ll be able to start posting pages again. The idea of going to momocon to force myself to print books worked. I have new books! I’ll have the new storenvy site up by monday(3/14/2010) well, i got to dash! got to print more business cards

Best Laid Plans

are generally undone by small critters like microbes. I’ve spent the last two weeks working 10 to 12 hour days. This Sunday, I finally got a full day off to rest. Hurrah! In the midst of all that working, I caught myself a nice low-grade lingering cold. When I wasn’t working, I was sleeping. Well, I think everything’s leveled off finally and I can start drawing again!

The Big News is that I’ll be doing a con next year! MomoCon at GA Tech-march 12 &13. I’ve got an artist alley table. I’m currently working on DAT VOL 2 print files and The House of Other Worlds. I’ll have Artist Trading Cards, buttons and stickers.

Taking A Breather

I’ll start back on Desolation Angel Tango and Hazy Daisy Jam on November 1st. Putting together the Oxford Comics Mini Con drained me a bit. I had fun with it and learned a lot. I just need to tame this blah feeling with a bit of down time, s0 it doesn’t develop into a nasty cold. As usual, work isn’t helping. I’m working on the print files for Vision Chant Volume 1. Also working on setting up a store.
Also want to redo the ATL Comix Factory site. Lots of things to do.
